A Message from Our Principal...

Parents and Students,

Welcome to a wonderful 2018-2019 School Year at Lewisville High School.  We have had a fantastic start of our year with our Registration Day, Meet the Teacher Day, and the opening of school.  I enjoyed meeting with each grade level and sharing the seven steps to being a lion:  Looking Fierce (both academically and personally), Roaring with school spirit, Choosing what to eat to be our best self, Prowling Around  to find new opportunities, Sprinting so that we start strong, persevere through the tough times, and finish strong, Pouncing on new opportunities, and Looking Out for our Friends.

Our Student Leadership Team, lead by our president Niamah Cabbagestalk and vice president Dylan Jacobs, have already been at work planning activities for student involvement and fun.  We will beginning our Intramurals in the coming weeks and have an exciting Fall Spirit Week planned for October 15th -19th.  We have also established our Student Ambassadors Corp who worked at both Registration and Meet the Teacher Day to make both events run smoothly.

Our sports teams, JROTC, and band have been working hard to prepare for the upcoming seasons and we look forward to seeing our Lion Fans supporting our students!  Our teachers started off strong with professional development on the new Rubric 4.0 Evaluation Instrument and with a culminating team building activity for opening week where we took a community bus ride, bowling, and a great meal!  Our faculty enjoys working and having fun together for the good of Lewisville High School!

As we embrace the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate, we have set ourselves on a new mission, to provide innovative and integrative learning opportunities that prepare students for college and career pathways.  We believe this mission encompasses what our faculty, staff, and students believe is the heart of what we do- graduating young people ready to take on the world!

We look forward to another great year at Lewisville High School and encourage our students, parents, and community to continue to be LEWISVILLE-- A COMMUNITY INVOLVED IN ITS SCHOOLS!
